1. Keeping up with the commitment to improve access to quality health care in an affordable way we have partnered with Bosch India Limited and Intellecap (Intellectual Capital Advisory Services Limited) to help establish proof of concept for diagnostic solution for a vector borne disease such as Malaria. The objective is to develop a solution that is accessible, accurate and affordable.
2. More than 150 Health Camps in Eastern UP and Bihar.
3. Life Line Express- A unique initiative by Impact India Foundation-”Hospital on Wheels”- Diagnosed and Treated about 28000 patients, in Varanasi and Ghazipur, UP (in association with Bharat Vikas Parishad)
4. SGSY – An initiave by the Central Govt. to provide Skill Development / Paramedical education to 2000 students in Bundelkhund and Eastern UP region.
5. Organized International and National confrences, seminars and CME`s for doctors all over the world.
6. Promoter and enthusiast for girls education, has a school in a village in Chandauli district, which educated more than 1600 girls of low economic background and planning to open a college soon for them.
7. About to open a Specialized Cardiac unit-”MAX Heart Command Centre” in collaboration with Max Hospital, Saket, New Delhi at Surya Super Specialty Hospital, Varanasi.
8. Collaborated with “Reliance Life Sciences Mumbai” for Stem Cell Therapies.
9. Bringing technology to UP by providing TELEMEDICINE facility at Ghazipur Surya Hospital, making healthcare affordable and efficient to everyone.

Personal Achievements:

1. Pioneer of IVF- ET (Test Tube Baby) in eastern U.P. First Test Tube Baby Delivered at Surya Meditech Hospital and Research Center on 1st of March 2002. It was the first Test Tube Baby in whole eastern U.P.
2. Introduced Maternity and Child Healthcare Wing in “LIFE LINE EXPRESS” (Hospital on Wheels)
3. Awarded on International Women’s day for the Pioneer work in field of Science and Social activities.
4. Chosen as a Mentor by Tata social enterprise challenge, a joint initiative with IIM Calcutta.

Mr. S.K.Rai, is the Managing Director (Works) of Hero Cycles Limited which is India's largest manufacturers of Bicycles, Bicycle & Auto components also. His earlier assignments were as G.M (Works) at Jay Engineering Works, (A unit of DCM) and Sankey Wheels Limited a Unit of G.K.N, U.K. as G.M.

An engineering graduate from University of Roorkee, Mr. Rai has held several positions in various associations. He is past president of Ludhiana Management Association, member of Governing Board of Central Mechanical Engg. Research Institute, General Secretary - Ludhiana Sanskritik Samagam. Mr. Rai is also past Chairman CII Punjab Council and is closely associated with C.I.I. being elected member of its Northern Regional Council.

He is on Board of many enterprises including Nimbua Greenfield (Punjab) Limited which is State Government and Private Partnership initiate for Hazardous Solid Waste management facility for entire Punjab. He is also member of Expert Committee on review of validity period of consent to operate under water & Air Pollution Act 1981 constituted by Government.

He is member of Regional Advisory Committee of Central Excise Commissionerate. Mr. Rai is actively associated with education & Training being member of Board of Trust of B.C.M. School and S.B.S. Synetic Business School.

Research focuses on human spinal cord surgery for implanting new techniques used for respiratory disorders.

  • Animal research studies which are designed to evaluate the efficacy of functional electrical stimulation techniques to restore respiratory muscle function in model of spinal cord injury.
  • Plan and execute basic surgical techniques on animal models, collect and analyze data, developing improved techniques, projection method and procedures.

  • Designed a Circuit and a transmitter to monitor the fluid output and trigger a response for preventative actions in individuals with indwelling catheters.   • Test and provide technical support on AC and DC drive from 0.5 HP to 250HP.

  • “Circuit design for instruments” using PSpice that will be used for surface characterization and validating the instrument design by testing it on various surfaces.

Research Assistant, Biomedical Engineering Dept., NJIT September 2009 –Feb 2010

  • “Rectified & Averaged EMG Signal Acquisition”. To acquire EMG signals from human body. Designed a schematic using PSpice. Fabrication of Circuit board, interfacing between circuit and human subjects using surface electrodes &Testing for validation of circuit in various conditions.

Research Assistant, Physics Dept., NJIT January 2009 to August 2009

  • “A synchronized test facility for baseball” for comparison of Baseball Bats. Constructed a close loop testing cabinet with batting and pitching machine which operates in a synchronized manner. This set up will be used to evaluate baseball bats for little leagues. Force Sensors and RADAR guns were integrated with the set up to evaluate force and speed.
